Helipad

I met up with Grace, a friend from back in Brighton who moved out here a few years ago. We went to Heli Lounge Bar which is an active helipad by day and bar by night. We got there at 6.30pm while there was still daylight for some great 360-degree views of KL. The views become more impressive when the city lights come out at night. We had a couple of pints of beer while sitting on low fold-up chairs which seemed like they belong on a beach and chatted for a few hours. We sat strategically with a view of the Petronas Towers in front of us which was occasionally obscured by people taking selfies. I chose to use a photo of another part of the view as I've already used a shot of the towers in January.

Then we got on the monorail and went to Jalan Alor, the food street which I visited regularly during my visit back in January. We went to Meng Kee, supposedly one of the better restaurants there (although it seems like they're all pretty much the same). We shared six chicken wings, a large portion of stingray, a plate of morning glory and a beer. It was a lot of food but we almost finished it all!

We finished with some Turkish ice cream (I had durian, obviously) and then Grace had to get a taxi back to her place out of town. It's always so nice seeing a familiar face and having a catch up!
