Green Shield Bug

I was filling the edges of the patio with a fine sand to fill a few holes and in the process of moving my plant pots I uncovered several insects. So I got out my macro lens and followed them around the patio! This green shield bug was trying to climb up one of the pots with me snapping away over the top of him.
