Big CAT

It's been quite an exciting couple of days around New Malden railway station. Today the traffic was brought to a spectacular standstill as this massive earthmover was delivered through a rather narrow entrance into the site next door. A whole army of men in hi-vis jackets were busy dashing about and signalling to drivers to stay back - as if they had any choice! The guy in the foreground seemed determined to stop me taking this shot and moved directly in front of me three times until I simply started laughing at him at which point he gave up and flounced off - most odd!

Of course this shot would have been far harder to take on Thursday evening or Friday morning when this was the scene at the station - on the right in my shot you can just make out the fridges and other white goods from the Thai takeaway kiosk next to the entrance which was flooded out.
