Turkish Ice Cream

One of many things I enjoyed when we visited Turkey was their ice cream and now we have a shop in Enmore which sells it.  In Turkey we only had one flavour but at Hakiki's they have quite a selection and they provide taste samples.  I purchased a large which meant I was able to have Grape Molasses with Tahini, Turkish Delight and Turkish Coffee flavours.  Maybe next time I will have a medium size.

If you haven't tasted Turkish Ice Cream it is thicker and has a kind of stringy texture and doesn't melt as easy as the normal.

Just down the street from Hakiki's is Cow and Moon who recently won a global prize for their gelato but  I  will need to visit them another day.
