Maximus

He won't win points for cuteness. Note the scarred nose.
Or feline agility. He can't walk along fence tops.
Or his meow. Which isn't really a meow.
Or his tail. Which has a permanent kink after being bitten by a dog (not our dog!)
This is Maximus.
All he asks for is a regular supply of food and a dry place to sleep.

He was a rescue kitten, who didn't get the best of starts in life, and never quite understood his place. He eats, sleeps and grooms with one of our dogs, and has only very recently, at the grand old age of eight, learnt that laps are quite nice to sit on. However briefly.
