Porta Delgada pavements

I could have done a blip of the Hospital waiting room- my husband slipped and fell last night ( not due to drinking but tripping on one of the camouflaged pavement edges) and we were taken in an ambulance to the hospital. Broken nose, 3 stitches, damaged knee and toe, cuts, but discharged at midnight.  We returned to the Out Patients Section in the morning to see a specialist, and he rested up in the hotel for the rest of the day.  It was pouring down with rain but I had to go to a Pharmacy and took the opportunity to blip many of the pavement patterns along the way. They are very attractive but hide the pavement edges as they are left grey like the road, with the lines of white catching the eye.
I have to say that the Azores people were wonderful.  Thank-you especially to Gustavo and to english Laura, and to all the roadside helpers, the doctors and nurses.
