Summer Solstice.

Joining a friend for a breath of fresh air and a stretch of the legs around Avebury, we had (foolishly) overlooked the fact that it was Sumer Solstice. There was a queue to get into the car park...and the Stone circles were packed out by the footloose and fancy free. We felt a bit conspicuous in our walking shoes and non-flowing walking trousers! 
There was no hope of getting a shot of the stones. Every one had been commandeered, so  we headed off to enjoy the views instead.
