Genius loci and Gorteanish Stone Circle

Summer has set in with its usual severity."
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

It's the Solstice and the day started fine, bright and breezy. We wandered up to the stone circle to pay our respects - not exactly at dawn but at a more reasonable time. Always good to be in the vicinity of a stone circle in my opinion and this one is just on the doorstep - more about it here .  It's now damp but very green. Things obviously haven't changed much since Coleridge's day.
Happy Solstice - sunrise 5.20am, Sunset 10.00pm.
And hope all you dads are having a good day too.
