Noche San Juan

Preparations have already begun on the beach for the Festival of San Juan, which takes place from June 24th - apparently they set furniture on fire the night before.  It celebrates the birth, six months prior to Christ, of John the Baptist.  But really, I think it's got more to do with midsummer - since we all know that Jesus wasn't actually born on December 25th.  But, anyway, a good excuse for a bonfire!
