The Fleet

We celebrated T's birthday today although it is not until Wednesday.  The four of us went down to Weymouth and had a wonderful meal at The Crab House situated in an old shack in a yard overlooking the Fleet, Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland in the distance.  It was a fine evening and first we tried to have a drink at The Cove Inn on the sea wall in the bottom of Portland but unfortunately there were so many people it was impossible even to get to the bar!  The restaurant has its own oyster farm just over the fence in the Fleet (a treat for T!) and there was crab galore and many fresh fish dishes.  N was able to find something he could eat without any butter, oil or cream so he was happy as eating out can be difficult sometimes!  A memorable evening.
