Bridge 77a - Oxford Canal meets M45 Motorway

Captured in the evening twilight. Bridge 77a is a 1959 structure carrying this lowly traffic’d motorway across the canal. It still has the classic Owen Williams aesthetic of other bridges built as part of this scheme. Interesting these two routes connect like this, as the canal is a heritage asset now, I wonder if this classic little modified motorway might become one in time as well.

I include another long exposure of Bridge 78, slightly further west I captured it even later in the evening, bathed in that beautifully soft light I had to set up the tripod.
