The State I Am In

Day 1: Looe ~ Polperro ~ Lantic Bay Cove

Taking off Night Riviera at Liskeard, we changed trains and headed for Looe, the town that is the start of our journey. On this day, we followed the South West Coast Path all the way from Lantic Bay Cove, which a kind local man recommended us as a place for wild-camping.

The photo is of Polperro. I was looking forward to visiting Polperro because this small coastal village is often ranked 1st in the most beautiful village in Britain. As I expected, Polperro is the most beautiful village I have ever visited.

By the time we reached Lantic Bay Cove, near Polruan, we were exhausted, but a cup of tea on the hill looking down the sea and sunset in the back was superb. After having dinner and having tea on the hill, a man with a dog came talking to us, asking where we were going to camp. As we told him that we were looking for a place where we could wild-camp, he kindly told us that the flat rock on the beach was the best place to camp. Also, he was king enough to tell us where we could get fresh water.

The extra photos are of the town of Looe, and Keisuke walking on the South West Coast Path.
