Rock rose and visitor

Hurray! No rain today... (so far)
Yes - it's another garden blip
But - it's because I'm actually doing some gardening :)
And - we might even have a BBQ later!

Not sure what the visitor is. It wasn't a wasp - I'm guessing it's some kind of hornet or similar

Edit: thanks to all who have advised that it is in fact a hoverfly
