A Swirl of Water

We had a very cold start to the day with a temperature of minus 5 C. Not as cold as it was at Lake Pukaki down south in the McKenzie Country. There they had a minus 20 C frost. Brrrr!
A third load of firewood was delivered this morning. 10 year old Rhys from next door earned some pocket money helping to move and stack the firewood. We got the whole job done in less than two hours.
I visited the Taylor Dam this morning. This solitary swan swam serenely across the water creating a swirl of gentle ripples in the mirror-like surface of the lake....
