The Jolly Sailor, Bursledon

For those Brits of a "certain age" this is the pub used extensively in the BBC series Howards Way which was filmed in and around Bursledon, Hamble and Southampton. Bursledon was the setting for the fictional town of Tarrant (how sad is it that I remember that). We all used to watch it - not because it was any good but to see if we recognised the locations used.

The pub itself is difficult to get to as you can only get so far in a car and the rest is on foot down a steep foot path
