Children of the Kindertransport - Hope Square

I went to Liverpool Street today for a UKCG lunch. Just outside Liverpool Street station is Hope Square with this statue. It commemorates the saved lives of 10,000 unaccompanied, mainly Jewish, children who fled from Nazi persecution in 1938 and 1939. Apparently they arrived in Britain at Liverpool Street station. I had no idea.
