Maybe the saddest blip I'll ever post. A friend's funeral was today - Monday. He died of the most common cause for men of his age and fitness - depression.
The service showed he was a tower in his community, always with his shoulder to the wheel.
People would tune into his slot on community radio because of his wide range of music.
His boys wanted to play football so he started the youth football team and learned how to coach football.
Part of the mountain rescue team.
Raised money for the local swimming pool.
Open about his depression because that was the only way to beat the stigma.
The crematorium was standing room only.

He might be gone, but his impact is still here.
