Waiting

Waiting for my students to arrive. It's 820pm and they'll be here soon. We'll finish at 11pm. There are only 6 of them, and they're a great group. My favourite actually. Keen learners, who are curious about the world. Respectful men (which isn't always common here in Egypt) and a strong woman. They did their own graffiti in class tonight, and the woman drew an image of a topless woman with a snake attacking her and the words 'stop it'. It was about harassment here. She showed it to the men which I found surprising given the image was of a topless woman, and a discussion followed about the issue here. A valuable lesson from many perspectives.
