Bank Holiday Monday and a bit of exploring. Thought we would walk about 4 miles or so - 8 later we had undertaken a great circuit through Swaledale Dale. Followed a river, climbed a fell, discovered the old mining heritage, ran down scree, climbed more fells and trekked back to the village for a packet of crisps and a larger shandy in the pub! Kids were brilliant once they got into the swing of it...good 'training' for our holiday in Switzerland this year.
