Petals unfurling...

... dog rose on Weetwood Moor.

Non-stop day, dashing from the Morning Job to Job No. 2 - but at least it meant that I finished at 5.30 rather than 8.30pm.

Home in time for a short walk on Weetwood Moor with MrM and Louie, and fish & chips from the local chippie. It's finally dawned that one portion is more than ample for the two of us!

Since moving to the flat I've felt decidedly grumpy and out of sorts, and despite attempts to be positive, the mood hasn't shifted! Realised today, as I gazed out of the window on to the Secret Garden at Job No. 2, that it's something to do with not having a garden. Underestimated just how much I've always enjoyed being able to look out on to greenery and flowers, and watch the birds. So - need to get the paperwork is under control and, as soon as possible, concentrate on 'greening' our small courtyard - lots of plants in tubs and planters. We can't see it from the flat, but it will be good to walk through it on the way in and out, and to sit out on balmy summer evenings(!). And the number of 'houseplants' is about to increase hugely - MrM be warned!
