Choppy Lake

During the night it rained, which froze at day break.  Many roads in Central Otago were closed, including the airport at Queenstown, because of the black ice.  The grit truck in Wanaka ended up in a ditch!  I stayed at home until the ice had thawed.  It was a lovely sunny day, quite warm, got up to +12C.  Much nicer than the freezing cloud inversion.  Rain is forecast, let's hope the snow stays on the ski fields.
