Mystery in the linen drawer

This is a photo of an old sheet that my mother keeps among her treasures. She does not remember how she got it or who made this embroidery.
We were trying to guess what the initials are.
I suggested they were a C and an R, perhaps from my great grandmother, Carmen Reina.
Perhaps I can make a good story with this mystery.
