AMBUSH AND MURDER

The young birds at the Country Park soon learn that human visitors are often good for providing snacks. This young swan was begging outside the café and shop. B and I had a lovely walk in the sunshine, but while I was busy watching some rabbits and wagtails, he was suddenly distressed when a crow came and seized a duckling just in front of him. We and its mum could only watch as it flew off with it into a nearby field. I suppose it's Nature red in beak and claw, and presumably that's where the collective noun "a murder of crows" comes from.

Is there anyone who can identify the butterfly in the extra photo, please?
