St Michael on the Mount without, Bristol, UK

Detail of one of the carvings over the door.
I love the different textures in this shot and the different colours and shading of the stone wall, the details of the carving and contrast of the green ivy.
The Church is now de-consecrated. In the early 19th century, my ancestor, the historian, Rev. Samuel Seyer, was rector of St Michael's. Inside, there is a plaque commemorating my three times great grandfather, Colonel Richard Twine Seyer of the East India Company and Bengal Army, who died in 1831.
