Happy Birthday Baby

Couldn't have asked for a better day. H has returned to her usual cheery self after at least a fortnight of generally being under the weather and sometimes being definitely unwell. Plus the weather was great. Shame about Daddy (he has caught a bug from H) but otherwise a perfect first birthday.

H tried out swimming in the pool for the first time today, in this new and slightly silly swimming costume. She hated the armbands at first but her Dad managed to get her to relax and enjoy it. Then in the afternoon we all went to the beach and played with her new bucket and spade presents after lunch. Sand stuck to everything but we still had a great time. Then home and some skypeing with the distant (in terms of miles) relations before the cake was ready.

What a year!
