A Visit by Travelling Tom

It's always wonderful to see Tom. It's also great to help him with a place to stay when he needs to overnight in London on business. Given the work he does, and how insufficiently he's rewarded for it, I'm glad we can play a small part in making his life easier. Tom is editor of Beyond Positive, an advisor to the EU and UNAIDS, and writes and talks extensively on radio and TV about equality and HIV, so he often needs to be down here. 

We had lovely time hosting him (there was gin), and although the visit made the cat astonishingly furious, Cosmo at least decided not to bite him again (kitty's moods will always amaze me). It would be great to visit him and his fiancé Tommy in Birmingham again soon, but in the meantime my fingers are crossed that we'll be able to cross paths next week for a screening of PROUD and PREPared, a video documentary on the PROUD study.
