Fennel

I'm not keen on the flavour of fennel but it wins favour with its beautiful flower head. I planted this when it was a tiny seedling, in a tub with a selection of salad leaves, coriander etc after a talk at WI. Far rom being a neat display the whole lot went mad, completely out of control, so I got rid of everything except the fennel and some chives and planted some geranium cuttings in their place. The fennel didn't stop growing and is now six feet tall!
