A New Beginning

I was in Ellesmere Port this afternoon. This is the town where I grew up and I had intended taking a photo of the old cinema, when I spotted this mural.The original mural was painted to commemorate the centenary of WW1.
 Titled A New Beginning the full picture features the soldier and a dove.The name of the artist is Silent Bill.. The image is all the more poignant now that some wild poppies have sprouted up  in front of the mural.
