in a flurry of feathers...

...i managed to get

not just 1 - but 2 cute little house finches - sitting in the tree - right before a major storm - broke out bringing with it - thunder, lightning and tiny hail, too - now the sun is back - as if nothing happened - yet more storms are on - the way later - i was surprised at capturing - this pair in the tree - perhaps they felt sorry - for me - were simply waiting for me to make the snap - before they moved on

i thought it was touching to see both - the male and female together - a lot of people tend to disregard finches - thinking they are rather plain - ordinary looking, there is nothing outstanding about them - i certainly hope that is - not what people think about me - for often that is exactly how i tend to - perceive myself, ya know - not that there is very much - exciting about me or my life these days - but how sad if someone - would simply toss me aside - because of it - yet i think that's what happens - sometimes in our world - we need to be better in how - we treat people - with how we interact - be aware of how our words - will impact, or our actions - especially on young people - who are so impressionable - and are trying to - make their mark in this world - we want it to be a gentle place for them - a loving place - where they can grow and be nurtured - so they will know there will - be support for them - encouragement and understanding - and realize every day can be...

a

happy day.....
