Johnny's house

For any fan's of Peter May's 'Lewis Trilogy', this is the house on Eriskay that Peter May used as the basis for house that Johnny and his brother stayed in when they were brought to Eriskay in 'The Lewis Man'. 

We spent the morning and early afternoon on Barra, taking the boat over to Kisimul Castle in Castlebay, then heading over the the airport for lunch and so my mum could watch the plane coming in instead of being on it when it came in! We then had a walk on the beach behind the airport, and the sun came out again. Later in the afternoon we got the ferry back to Eriskay and had an explore of the island before heading up the the Orasay Inn in South Uist for an overnight stay. We saw a short eared owl flying by on the way up, but as I was driving I didn't manage a photograph; wonderful to see though, I've never seen an owl in the wild before.
