Salvage from the Wreckage

Wimbleballs!

A day out in SW19.
We had tickets to No 2 court. M queued and got a ground ticket.
It was sunny and we had a great day.
We saw Liam Broady's epic comeback and Hewett's epic last set - which he lost 11-9. And plenty of close-up action on the lesser courts.
We finished up having a meal in Putney with M.
Three hours to get there, an hour and a half to get back.

One of our seats was next to a terribly posh, rather ancient lady who was with her grandson. She sounded like Maggie Smith and wore a Wimbledon straw hat - £75 in the shop.
When I saw her, she told me that I wasn't the chap from earlier and then dropped an £8 drink of Pimms on my foot. She swore in French (Zut! Merde!) but with a terribly English accent and then her grandson handed her the spare Pimms that he had been carrying for her.

She called all the "out" shots, very loudly, and argued with the steward about whether they could leave whilst the balls were being changed rather than waiting for a change of ends.
