Old bridge - Argyll Forrest Park.

Time to leave Edinburgh and pick up our rental car for the rest of our trip. I had ordered a private hire car to pick us up, but after it being 10 mintues late, I rang them & found that they didn't have the booking. This was quickly fixed and less than a minute later, I got a text to say my booking was in place and what colour the vechicle was and its registration number! Then a few minutes later another text to say my car was there...... brilliant service in the end.
Usual thing at the rental car place, trying to talk you into spending more money.
"For only £X per day, you can upgrade to a bigger car, get have a navigation system and get insurance to take your excess to nil!" Blah, blah...........
"No. Thank you!" I had brought my own TomTom with a new UK map on it, as this had proved invaluable on our other trips.
We were heading off to stay for 4 nights on the Isle of Seil, just south of Oban. We had planned on stopping at the Falkirk Wheel, as Leanne hadn't seen it, then stopping at Inveraray for the night. http://www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk/
By the time we got to Falkirk, it was pouring with rain, so had a bit of breakfast before the trip in the boat, going up to the upper level of the canal, then back down again.
Back on the road, heading for Loch Lomond and going along the Western shores. Misty, drizzly rain, and not a lot to see, just like when we had seen it in 2012! Before getting to Tarbet we could see the snow falling on the hill tops, and then Leanne just had to stop to take photographs of the snow as we travelled through Glen Kinglas.
