Barefoot in the Park

At first glance, I thought the young woman was with the man as he was reclined intimately by her side – tapping his feet to an imaginary beat.

Walking past I noticed her pearls and got a whiff of perfume. Jasmine. I turned my head and looked back. That’s when I noticed his beautifully bedraggled feet.

I’m still not comfortable photographing strangers. It’s a fine line knowing when to take the shot. The ease from which these two held space together gave me the courage to snap and run.
