Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Golden Y

A new one to me, although fairly common, the Beautiful Golden Y Moth, which I disturbed while wandering through Shipley "Big Field" looking for Ringlets. Still no joy there, but I did find my first couple of Small Skippers of the year, along with Large Skippers, lots of Meadow Browns and a Small Tortoiseshell.

Back up on the moor, more Large Skippers.

After dark, a Large Yellow Underwing exploring our Peony.
