Reikes small life...

Steep cliffs

What a sunny day! We didn't expect to get that in Iceland but most prob it is one of the lucky days and we won't be that spoiled the next few days.

The day was spent on the beautiful Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We did a cliff walk, or rather a stop-and-photograph-and-go-and-stop-again crawl along steep cliffs that are home to many breeding birds. Iceland seems to belong to wild birds mainly.
Lots of Arctic Terns were annoyed by us as well and tried to attack Philipps woolen hat. We also found some spot that seemed to be too much effort for the other tourists.
If it hadn't been that windy it might have even been warm!
(Seems the next few days we will be missing out on a heat wave at home that brings temperatures of up to 36°C!)

All in all a day that was like a present!

Btw, I am amazed that driving in Iceland is so easy and relaxed. Not many cars around anyway, and the Icelanders don't get annoyed by the tourists and hassle them, it seems.
