Wilted

... the little people tried to revive the rose but it had expired in the heat on the hottest day of the year.

I have been on a training course all day, in a lovely air conditioned room, so I didn't really see or feel the hottest day. It was still hot and humid when I left but it had clouded over and it was even raining when I got home. I went out to a school production this evening so one way and another didn't get chance to take any photos ...

... "never mind", I thought. "I've still got the flowers from last week, they haven't been individually photographed yet." But when I looked I discovered they had all expired in the heat of the day.   

The thunder is now rolling around us.
