old cemetery

Today we mostly meandered around Stoke Newington, shopping for wool and fabrics, and baby clothes, stopping for lunch and drinks and rests when we felt like it.
I like Stoke Newington a lot, it's a good eclectic mix of people with no one ethnic group dominating, and so full of health food stores and hipsters it could be an urban West Cork. Also it was my earliest home - my family moved from there when I was six, and it still has a familiarity. I recognised the street and house where we once lived, and could remember the way to my first school.
We went to a Hackney flea market, and finished the day with an amble through Abney Park Cemetary, big enough to get lost in and where the air tastes of the country.
