Cloud blanket

Sleep interrupted last night by a violent thunderstorm, right over our heads! Not awake enough to think of grabbing the camera and trying for a shot or two of the lightning!

Slight detour on the way to Job No. 2 this afternoon, to pick up some flowers for Aileen, who's kept the office going for the last couple of years. She's leaving tomorrow for pastures new.

An early start meant an early finish, so home in time for tea. In the evening MrM and I planned to do a short walk with Louie on Weetwood Moor, and then another, longer walk without him. But the weather had deteriorated by the time we got out, so we decided to get sorted out for a weekend adventure rather than embark on the longer walk.

Nice cloud blanket on the Cheviot. If you look carefully to the left of the blip you can just about see the Scouts' Union Jack flag. They were gathered outside their hut as we passed by.
