Abstract.

 Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art. This departure from accurate representation can be slight, partial, or complete. 


I give tours at the High Museum on Thursdays and today spent time discussing this piece by Molly Hatch which is called Physic Garden.  It is comprised of 456 hand painted dinner plates and is based on plates designed in 1775 at the Chelsea Factory.  Each plate is an abstract piece on its own.  My Extra.   Can you find where it belongs!!!!
