Eclipse off Bute

I don't know that I've ever before seen a cruise liner anchored off Rothesay, but today there was one - a neat, clean-lines smallish ship which, according to the ShipAIS site was the "yacht" Eclipse.

If it was a yacht, it was one of these tremendously superior ones you find in James Bond movies. But as far as I could make out, it was simply a cruise ship doing its thing. There have been many more cruise ships in our waters in recent years, and it's good for the economy.

On the weather front - almost literally - you can see the beginnings of the rain that beat on our windows over dinner. The sky is clear again ... for now.
