Alzey

Continuing our journey towards the North Sea we stopped tonight in Alzey. We has stopped here on the way down also, when it was a public holiday. This time we arrived just after lunch on a Saturday. We discovered the town largely shuts down in the afternoon of Saturday.

A late lunch in the ice cream shop in the back of this photograph. We both had a sandwich, but most other people were having ice creams. In the evening we had dinner in an Italian restaurant, not least because it simplifies the menu to something we can understand.
