Apply

Personally I didn't know that the verb, apply, has such a meaning. 

The second sentence, which begins with 'for optimal results' and encourages the users to try the other related products too, looks so familiar to me as I've seen similar instructions on Japanese stuff as well. I thus learned how familiar contents are realised in English.
