Common Spotted

This is the last of Knottman's garden orchid series for this year. There may however be a few wild orchids in the next few weeks.
This is the Common Spotted Orchid ( Dactylorhiza fuchsii).
The photograph is a compromise in the the flower hears are too far away to show the markings on the petals. But growing where it does allowed me to show the whole plant including the basal leaves thus revealing why it is called "spotted".
This particular plant is a rather pale form.
Tomorrow's blip will still be a plant but will be something entirely different.
