Castle A Varrach

That's my own crude anglicisation, as I recall the notes on the information board. I have driven past this castle dozens of times over the years and this is the first first time I have got up close. It stands at a grand vantage point on a rocky outcrop over looking the Kyle of Tongue.

Going back to the information board Varrach, A Varrach, Abrach means man from Lochaber. Who would have thought this old castle in Sutherland had Fort William connections.
