A Chorus of Linesmen

How many electricians does it take to wire a house with ultra fast broadband?

Apparently quite a few.

Chorus has a monopoly and they want everyone to adopt the new ultra fast cable that they are installing along our broken streets post quake.
Anyone who still uses their copper lines is to be charged more in an attempt to make them move. It costs at least $500 to have the wire run from the road to one's house and a lot of people don't want this. Elderly people are being pressured into it. They will never use the internet and don't want to pay the new charges, which are nearly double the old ones, just to run a phone line.
It is being called the Copper Tax and unfortunately there is no support from the government as the Commerce Commission has ruled that Chorus can do this.
What a bunch of grasping bastards they are
