Creative Exposure

I've arrived in Rotterdam for the day long tests in the hospital tomorrow. My friend Edith Hoffman has just graduated from the Rotterdam Fotovakschool, her graduation series is called Painting within a painting, she has combined her passion for painting and photography, by painting abstract backgrounds ( colours the choice of the person(s) she's portraying), then using body paint in those same colours for the portrait models and photographing them using textured objects like lace, gauze or glass to further enhance the image. She was exhibiting her graduation work this weekend, all part of the graduation and I was able to visit this afternoon. Edith and I got to know each other in Singapore through Flickr and our mutual love for nature photography :-) I thought her exhibited works, 8 of them, were marvelous!

Pity the exhibition is now over, but you can see some of this work on the Mediawall in the Rotterdamse Schouwburg in combination with the Double Exposure Group.
