Buttermilk Falls..

Today I enjoyed an end of year picnic in a wooded area of one of the Garden Group member's backyard.  She had the tables covered with white lace tablecloths, had made a huge salad bowl of mixed greens, and made fresh lime and lemonade -  all those attending supplied 'sides' to go with the salad greens.  We also exchanged plant divisions or seedlings members had grown.  It was a very relaxing and sociable lunch.  When my husband and Granddaughter came to pick me up, she wanted to show me the treasures she'd collected at the lower end of a trail at Buttermilk Falls. After checking out every last treasure (she'd emptied a box of tissues onto the back seat of our car to get a container for her treasures), she insisted we all go back to the park to see the waterfall.  Men were cleaning up debris from the recent storms, and one of the main trails to the right of the falls was closed because of erosion and rock slides.  They were anxiously trying to get the park and trails ready for all the expected visitors on "The Finger Lakes Trails and Scenic Areas" to start arriving each day now that most of the schools are closed.

As an extra today I'm submitting the pic of a Skunk under my backyard feeder.  I was about to put the outside lights off before going to bed and saw what looked like a white ermine cape on the grass, the black part of the skunk was barely visible.  Usually the skunks we've seen here have had different black markings over their backs, this one had so much all white, and it was very big.
