Soaring

J texted early to say she couldn't come today but managed to get A&E to come instead and we set off at lunchtime to St Andrews for a little look (and an ice cream!) and then on to Cambo Gardens. Beautiful. The concert was in the walled garden with French horns playing hauntingly from all directions. After a while we all ended up lying on the grass and listening as the horn players moved around....and a song thrush joined in so loudly it was as if it had got the idea of the performance. Extra shows A dancing on the lawn afterwards-inspired!
Stopped for fish and chips in Pittenweem, and bumped into F&G who live round the corner (who knew?!) so we ate our fish suppers in their beautiful garden then came home chatting about improvisation and mentoring and all sorts. Lovely to spend the day with A&E and to meet up with so many people at the concert and give A her first taste of a Scottish fish supper!
