Bamburgh Castle (Backblip)

We spent most of the day in Bamburgh, exploring the town, visiting the Grace Darling RNLI Museum, seeing the cottage where she once lived in her short life and then taking a picnic onto the wonderfully long stretch of beach and eating it in the sand dunes, admiring the splendid views for miles - all the way over to Holy Island in one direction and back to Seahouses in the other.

Extra pics::  one of the spectacular views and Grace Darling's Memorial in the churchyard of St. Aidan's.

Home to our caravan site to enjoy BBQ'd fresh mackerel, caught this morning by fellow camper Gordon who went fishing every day and supplied most of us with his extra catch.
