Journey Through Time

Cool, Cool Water..

Cool Water  This may sound hokey to you, but it's on an old 78 record which sounds a bit dated (even though this has been restored), but The Sons of the Pioneers were a wonderful early group who sang Western songs.  Not Country songs, like you hear today, but that other group of songs specifically geared to cowboys and the West.  There's a lot of nostalgia connected with that music.  It's very Americana.

We went blueberry picking with our friends, then we hijacked them and took them to Moulton Falls up the Lewis River since it was a short detour.  They'd never been there before and I think they enjoyed the quick tour of North Clark County, WA.

We are on track to break the record for the most consecutive days over 90 degrees in the Portland/Vancouver area.  This will continue until the weekend when we get a break from the higher temps.  Next weekend, we will be meeting and greeting my new first cousin and his lovely wife,  that came into our lives lately. Can't even tell you how glad I am that my aunt did her DNA...because that's how we found him.  Ancestry.com  has a success story for sure.

Keep cool my friends.
